Casual Reception Invitation

I have already had my wedding ceremony and recepton. I am now having another reception that is just hor d'oeuvres at a friends house so that some of my other friends can meet my husband.

How should I word this invitation to make it clear to guests that this is a casual wedding reception where only hor d'oeuvres are being served?

Would 3-6pm be a better time than 2-5pm for this event? Also, this is an outdoor reception. Thank you.

First, this is not really a reception but more of a casual dinner party. And since you aren't serving a meal you should opt for the earlier time so that guests can spend dinner time elsewhere. Here is a suggestion for wording your invitation.

You are invited to an informal
outdoor celebration
to honor (BRIDE'S NAME HERE)
and her new husband, (GROOM'S NAME HERE).

Please join us on (DATE)
at (TIME)

(ADDRESS)

Light fare will be served
