Do you have to provide wedding favors?

We are providing an upscale dinner and dance. Do we need to provide party favors?

Wedding favors are a tradition. Favors are given by the bride and groom to thank their guests for attending the day's event.

Do you have to give favors? That is up to you, but . . . you should offer some kind of gesture to your guest as an official "Thanks" for attending your ceremony.

You don't have to do traditional wedding favors. You could have a special "Thank You" cocktail made for your guests. Or you can make a donation to your favorite charity in each guests name.
