Guest to pay for dinner

by Patsy
(Rhode Island)

A friend of mine wants to have an intimate dinner with about 50 close friends, however, can not afford to pick up the total cost. How would you word that on the invitation?

Sorry, your friend wouldn't. It is never acceptable to ask guests to pay for any portion of your wedding events. If your friend can't afford to pay for dinner then an option could be to have dessert or even just wedding cake at someone's home.
