Shirbie and Michael

by Shirbie Whitman
(Houston, TX)

My Fiance asked me to marry him on Christmas day in 2008 in front of all my children. I said yes, put on my beautiful diamond ring and started planning for our big day. I am a mature bride and he is a mature groom. Just call us the over 50 couple. We both thought we would never get married again. We have been dating for about 8 years. Everyone told us "it is about time".

Our special day will be June 27, 2009. We have family coming from California and Arkansas to share our special day in Houston, Texas. We are looking forward to spending the rest of our lives together as Man and Wife. We are truly greatful that God has seen fit to give us a second chance at happiness. Love doesn't care how old you are, just that you care and share.
